Leatherwear

Givenchy Antigona Envelope Clutch on Net-a-Porter

My "Givenching" clucth from Es Enterprise, Pertama Complex, KL

Red interior... sexy ;P

I love leather.
I would lather everything I own in leather if I could really afford it. But, our Malaysian weather doesn't quite agree with it. Everything gets ruined due to the rain!

While happily enjoying my daily routine as an out and about stay at home mom (why do they call it SAHM anyway for moms who are never at home? But, that's another blogpost), I make numerous  trips to the bank for documentation purposes. Basically, I transfer funds here there and elsewhere, do a lof of ipo applications and just e-trading.

And for that, a good document holder is a must... not just for me, but also for anyone who carries documents which are important enough to be safeguarded in leather... or a plastic file. What I would really want is a Givenchy Envelope Clutch (make mine in black grained leather or red cherry... But I'll save that for later years when I'm actually depositing big fat cheques by my own signature (own company too perhaps)... right now it's just mere chequebooks and bills..

So the husband is a big fan of leather too, buy he doesn't particularly buy anything branded, he thinks buying branded is pretentious, so he aims for unknown stores, labels or tailor who can customize. I got this baby customized by probably the best leather tailor at Pertama Complex, KL.

All for RM200.

Resolutions 101

My 2015 New Year's Resolutions is to dedicate a huge amount of time, research, energy and passion towards blogging. Besides trimming some weight, go to the gym diligently, drink less sugared cordials and travel more with my kids.

Confession. I spent the world of last year somewhat scot-free from any resolutions, because being the 'planner'/resolutions kind of girl, I simply did not make any last year. It was the only year since I turned 15. where I did not sit down and write any "plans" down.

Next year is going to be different, because this time, I have thoroughly thought about my goals and I'm starting early (hey we are still in the month of December!!). Amongst the tips I gathered about keeping your resolutions 101 are:

1. Focus on one thing. Whether it's your weight or your current job, or your child or that dream house. Just choose something concrete.

2. Plan ahead. Read up on the things you wish to achieve, is it do-able at this point in time? Get all systems in place.

3. Anticipate problems. Eg, if it's about not being able to allocate time to head over to the gym, perhaps change the workout venue to somewhere closer to home/work.

4. Pick a date. You don't have to start immediately, perhaps wait till the kids are back at school or you are back at work.

5. Be committed. Go for it whole heartedly.

6. Accept failure. Sometimes we can only do SO much. Many times things are beyond our control, but we must appreciate our efforts nonetheless.

7. Plan rewards. This is important to keep your motivation going.

Good luck on your resolutions everyone. I'm still sketching mine. Blogging is top of my list, including continuing gym classes once my boys are back in playschool.
